Housing Advocacy

 

A key goal of mine is Local Housing. To achieve this I will work to implement help to young people in our area. There are some funding supports available. I can provide further Information and support. * Everyone deserves a safe home*

Safe Space/Youth Activities

The Pandemic had devastating consequences for many locals. As anyone with young kids or teenagers will appreciate, Kingscourt and Shercock need more creative spaces for young people to socialize and help overcome the effects of COVID-19 SOCIAL ISOLATION. 

Local Healthcare & GP Services

Shercock needs a doctor urgently. Kingscourt could benefit from extra support for our doctors who work tirelessly to support the community. With direct provision centres locally, we should  receive extra support for our doctors and push for an extra GP in the area. We could encourage the HSE to support local GPs taking on extra staff Doctors (ICGP - qualified doctors Training to be GPs). We need health information events and education around local services like when to attend a pharmacy,  minor injury unit, out of hours GP vs A&E.  I will work to support our community to do whatever we can do to improve healthcare access locally.

There's always support our there. Have a read through our housing section. You could always reach out to your local SF councillor for advice & support.
